Do I need to rent a 4×4?
No. You don’t need a 4×4 during any of the seasons that we are open to guests.
Are there any limitations on guests wishing to stay at the ranch?
The experience that we offer is a wilderness one. Guests do not have to be particularly fit or agile, but we don’t recommend our holidays for guests who will struggle on uneven terrain or who have mobility problems.
We do not usually book guests under the age of 14 or over the age of 75 (although we may take guests slightly younger than 14 during our summer season).
Some of our viewing is from river rafts and we may ask you to sit out the trip if you weigh more than 120 kgs (260 lbs/18.5 stone). These limitations are for safety reasons.
We are not set up to cater for photographers using tripods.
Because we are off the power grid, we do not offer laundry services.
We have limited satellite-linked internet for guests to use. We only offer use of our satellite telephone service in the case of emergencies.
Will you return my deposit if I cancel or wish to change my dates?
No. Your deposit, whether you have paid in part or in full, is non-refundable and non-transferable. You cannot pass your holiday onto others or sell it to a third party. We do not make exceptions to this policy on compassionate grounds and strongly recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance.
We may change our rates without warning but will hold the price and terms we offered at the time you booked.
What if I have food allergies or am a vegetarian?
We can usually cater for guests with allergies and vegetarians. We would, however, ask for some warning.
